Thermal Square and Visitor Centre – Bük

Bük

The Büki Látogatóközpont, located in the heart of Bükfürdő at Thermal Square, is the ideal starting point for exploring the town and its surroundings. The centre offers interactive indoor and outdoor exhibitions that guide visitors through the history of Bük’s famous medicinal waters, from their discovery to the spa’s modern-day services.

The exhibition reveals the secrets behind the exploration of the healing waters, including the original drill used in the past while searching for oil. Admission is free, and the centre offers an engaging journey through time for visitors of all ages. Screenings take place every hour at 30 minutes past the hour, so punctual arrival is recommended.

The on-site Tourinform office provides up-to-date local and regional information, program recommendations, and free brochures. Visitors can also find accommodation, hiking routes, city tour tips, and even rent bicycles or e-scooters to explore the area.

The Visitor Centre is directly connected to the renovated Thermal Square and adjacent green park, offering resting and meeting areas. The square hosts seasonal events, markets, and cultural programs, ensuring every visit is a rich experience. The Büki Visitor Centre uniquely combines local history, spa culture, and modern tourism services.
