Kemenes Volcano Park

The Kemenes Volcano Park is home to the country's only volcano-themed exhibition. Covering nearly 1000 square meters, visitors can explore the volcanic activity of the Earth, the volcanoes of the Carpathian Basin and Hungary, and the local landmark, the Ság Mountain basalt volcano.

The exhibition presents the world of volcanoes in both interactive and traditional ways, aided by simulators, touchscreens, and a 17-minute short film to facilitate easier understanding.

Adjacent to the Volcano Park is a basalt volcanic hill, which visitors can explore further on volcano tours organized by the Kemenes Volcano Park. While traversing the hill, you can discover the Ság Mountain Museum, where you can learn about local history alongside the wildlife of the volcanic hill. The interactive exhibition is easily accessible for young children as well.
