Jurisics Castle

The Jurisics Castle is the historic castle of Kőszeg, best known for the heroic defense led by Nikola Jurišić during the Ottoman siege of 1532. The renovated castle welcomes visitors with interactive exhibitions, multilingual audio guides, film screenings, family programs, a play courtyard, and castle theatre performances. The medieval complex still preserves its Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architectural features, while its tower offers panoramic views of Kőszeg and the surrounding hills.
