Írott-kő

Kőszegi-hegység

Kőszeg and its surroundings are true tourist magnets, barely half an hour away from Bük, with unparalleled natural treasures and lookout points worth a short trip.

The Kőszeg Mountains, also the highest point of the entire Transdanubian region, boast Írott-kő (883 m), crowned by a lookout tower "divided" by the Trianon border.

We embark on conquering the summit from one of the most charming villages of Kőszeg-Hegyalja, Velem, making a stop at the charming Chapel of Saint Vitus on the way up, and on the way back, exploring the most interesting geological landmark of the mountains, the rock formations of Kalapos-kövek.
