Esterházy Palace & Rose Garden

Fertőd

The Esterházy Palace in Fertőd, often called the "Hungarian Versailles," is the largest and most magnificent Baroque-Rococo palace in Hungary. Once the home where Joseph Haydn composed his masterpieces, the palace's courtyards and grand halls shine in their former glory. The highlight of the visit is the Margit Cziráki Rose Garden, where the scent and sight of over 8,000 roses enchant visitors. A stroll through the park revives the elegance of the 18th-century ducal court, while the rose garden's pavilion is a perfect setting for romantic moments.
